Screenshot of error dialog.
Trying to add a youtube rss feed that contains a space within the username fails.
http://www.youtube.com/rss/user/Joe Edelman/video.rss .... Joe [space] Edelman
Have tried with other users who have spaces in their usernames and get the same result. Using v3.4.0 on Xubuntu (12.04) Linux.
If you open http://www.youtube.com/rss/user/Joe%20Edelman/videos.rss in a browser, you will see that the feed itself is invalid. There are no YouTube users with spaces in their usernames. Try this instead:
Thomas, thanks. The direct entry url works fine ... I'll use that instead for now.
But if go to Subscriptions -> Discover new podcasts -> Youtube tab -> search for Joe Edelman -> select the topresult -> click Add .... gpodder tries to resolve the url as www.youtube.com/rss/user/Joe Edelman/video.rss (with the space included.) and the error "could not add some podcasts" is thrown. Same result for "The Poke," "Meeja Recon," etc. when searching from the "discover new" gui. No big deal. Thanks for your time.
Sorry to be a pest ... forgot to update this as unconfirmed ... see my commnet #2. Thanks.
Thank you for your bug report.
Fixed in Git: http://gpodder.org/commit/aa488bcc
The fix will be part of the next release.
