gPodder Bug Tracker – Bug 1660
Annoying behavior upon removing episode
Last modified: 2012-09-05 09:38:19 BST
Steps to reproduce:
Select a podcast / filter with more than one "page" and a downloaded episode not on first page. (I always use Not deleted filter just in case the bug is filter related...)
Tap the episode
Tap delete icon
Tap Delete button
List remains in the vicinity of deleted episode
Episode list will go to the top. Very annoying on a podcast with > 200 episodes you are catching up with in chronological order, since older episodes will be at the bottom...
If you want to delete multiple episodes, you can do so with the menu button in the lower right corner of the episode list page. This way, you can do a multi-selection and delete the selected episodes in one go without the problem of resetting the scroll position.
No, I want to delete it immediately after it has finished, for which that option would leave me in the same conundrum.
Check this use case where delete multiple does not help at all.
I am catching up from the bottom of 200 episodes, I start listening, the episode is crap, I start listening the "next one", ie 199, then delete the 200th one. The one I just started is again crap and now I have to scroll down all the way to 199 again.
Makes sense to me.
